Installation selected for Camberwell Arts Festival, June 2014
Bubble wrap covered the length of the path that traverses the park behind St Giles’ Church. Two benches used at night by homeless people to sleep on were also covered in bubble wrap for one day. People use the path to cross hurriedly from Wilson Grove to Camberwell Grove. The bubble wrap path provided amusement and distraction, a pause, moment of reflection through surprise & fun. It often made people detour from their usual route, while the rhythmic popping noise of the air bubbles overtook the traffic noise.
